Weekly NET checkins are held each Wed Night at 9 PM on 147.000/PL173.8
If for any reason the repeater is down the net will be moved to 146.535 simplex.
Weekly wide area net on the 444.050/PL91.5 at 9 PM each thursday night
Monday Meeting of the Shelby County ARES group, 7PM at the Shelby County Emergency Management building , 98 7th Street in .
These meetings and trainings are held on the 4th monday of each month.

We are pleased to announce the addition to our SHELBY COUNTY A.R.E.S. group arsenal , 2 new internet gateways. We now have a VHF and UHF gateway
the frequencies are;
145.030 with the call sign of KZ4N-10 for our VHF and
438.000 with the call sign of KZ4N-10 for the UHF
As we continue to build our digital systems we will put into service digi-peaters in several loactions around our county. This is all being done with the support of our County Emergency Management Agency for use during emergencies.
We are now testing many locations throughout the county for the best possible footprint for our growing system.
Monthly meeting of the Stubblefiled Repeater Club is on the 2nd monday of the month at the EMA building on 7TH street in Shelbyville at 7. PM
Training for HAM radio operators now needed to work communications in RED CROSS shelters

Our next meeting will be held on January 28th at 7:00 P.M. at the Shelby County EMA building on 7th Street. We will be training on NET control operations for a disaster situation, plans include use and how to use the different ICS forms we have, how to properly use the radios for disaster communications and further discussions on the mobile em-comm platform
Now with 5 digipeters in site with 5 more coming soon we now have a great start to a infrastructure that will serve our county in times of disasters. the 5 frequencies and call signs assigned to each one.
